Should be a dramedy on Prime Time...

Just saw a special screening of this film last night in Santa Monica and was surprisingly amused and entertained by the story and characters. Although, throughout the film, I couldn't help to think that this would make a much better prime time show on any of the major networks (not Fox or WB) than as a feature film.

The only real flaw in the film (in my opinion), is that it couldn't elaborate or draw out more backstory or depth to all of it's many fun/intersting characters...primarily due to the constraint of having to cut down the film's running time to around the 1 1/2 hrs usually allotted for comedies/dramas.

It's a shame because this film truly does have some great characters (and acting!) along with a great story...however, I couldn't help but feel a lot was still missing throughout the film. Given the Producer did say this film is still in the editting process and far from being the final cut...I think it'd be extremely difficult to really smooth out all of the film's transitions to really express the film's true premise and really be able to connect with it's audience in a feature film.

It's a good film, however, I truly believe it would make an even better dramedy on Primetime!

With that said...I still enjoyed the film and wish everyone involved with this film the best, cuz I could tell you all poured your heart and soul into it!
