Great film - more drama than comedy

Just watched this on Netflix - the film sends you go on a roller coaster ride that hits you with cathartic moment after cathartic moment... This is not a feel good movie... you might feel good when its over because of the dramatic release of emotion, but it's no comedy IMHO. It's more a mix of Breaking Away meets Bull Durham, but swapping in the polar-opposite to the Tim Robbins character, and maybe just a hint of Good Will Hunting. I highly recommend it.

I agree and I'm not usually easilly impressed. I guess I'm getting old lol
The truth is I just loved this movie instantly, it kept me interested in the story from the moment it started. And the best part is, it's a bit like watching a movie about my own life! Any guy can relate to it regardless of which sport you've played.
I wish I had Michelle Lombardo to walk away with in to the sunset, but...
