Will Kevin Smith pen any episodes?

I hope so. He is such a great writer with a style all his own.

After first reading about this story on Kevin Smith's website

I would be inclined to say no.

reply

I read somewhere that he took this project to further himself as an actor, so I doubt it.

Let's see if the series gets picked up first.

kevin smith is horribly over-rated by film geeks.

actually, the only tim burton movies i like are batman, pee wee's big adventure, and ed wood. everything else is crap.
and i don't know one person who likes uwe boll, except uwe boll.
kevin smith writes with "depth"? sure, if you're retarded. kevin smith relies on dick and fart humour, and frequently peppers his films with pot references, because he knows (like pavlovian dogs) that potheads will laugh at any retarded reference to marijuana.
you, sir, are a moron.
believe me, once you leave college and join the real world, you'll hate smith too.

Just to point out the irony...
Most of the fans of Clerks were highschool students or college students. A decade later, all of these people are out of college, and I can't believe that ALL of them have grown to dislike Kevin.
Especially with his movies like 'Chasing Amy', I find that I understand that movie more and more as I age. It actually takes a rather mature person to see past the silly dumb and fart jokes used to entertain viewers like yourself.

It's fine to dislike Kevin's movies, but to say that there's not depth means you haven't really watched them at all. You really should take a second look... I believe almost anyone can find something in there.

i don't mind dick and fart jokes, so long as there's something underneath. south park is one of my favorite shows, and it's almost all dick and fart jokes. but it's got something to say. smith's scripts seem like they're written by children with only a rudementary understanding of human nature.

kevin even makes fun of himself for using "dick and fart jokes" but as "christielarocqu" mentions, his films do possess depth and meaning. i am not a big hollywood comedy/young people films. kevin writes them in a very different way that entertains me when all i want is a good laugh.

try watching adam sandler films... now that, my friends, really hurts.
