This or Condemned 2?

Which is better? Which has better replay value? Which is more intense and fun?

This wins hands down. It's not even fair to compare. Condemned 2 mostly towards the end turned into a regular FPS. I personally think it's more fun and intense smashinhg someone with a baseball bat, wrench, pipe or a conduit.

There's not much fun shooting people in FPS mode, unless you're playing Modern Warefare.

It is better to keep your mouth shut and look stupid, than to open it and remove all doubt.

They made some nice improvements to the second game with the addition of melee combos, environmental kills and a special move bar that vastly improve the game play of the second.

I'm not an actor. I just play one on TV.

redwings right. But it depends on what you're looking for. If you're going for gameplay value, with combos, one-two, etc, then the second game is better at that. Keeping in mind that the first game didn't have bad gameplay, it's just not as good as the second.

But if you're going for story, creepiness, scariness, etc, then Condemned 1 was definately a better game overall.

I beat Condemned 1 at the end of the summer, and beat Condemned 2 just the other day. I'd love to replay both, but I definitely think the first one was a better game. I liked the guns and controls of the second game much more, but the first one was so much creepier. The second one has more violence, much more frequently, which actually takes away the moments of dead silence and quiet terror from the first one. There are some parts in the second one that were very creepy too, but not nearly as much as the first one. In the second one you pretty much know something is going to jump out at you and it is no surprise when it eventually happens.

And I agree that the climax became like a regular first person shooter in the second one. it's nowhere near the level of suspense and fear I had while playing the farmhouse level of Condemned 1. Even when playing with the lights on, I still jumped when I went into the basement and had those crawling things jump out at me unexpectedly.

Either way, both are great games, and they both have great atmosphere. the first one is just much more realistic, which adds even more fear to it.
