Not altogether satisfying but....taking seriously the magical character of Zatoichi what could one expect. It satisfies in the way that the creative team took him seriously. It's a non linear, impressionistic, vision of the character viewing himself, his own demise and his place among the greedy, vindictive evil of the world. A worthy conclusion to an approximately 100 episode extension of a truly lengendary creation....with some reservations. What's on next?
