This movie was terrible

I loved the first movie, it actually made a little sense. This one had horrible acting and the plot made absolutely no sense. They kept trying to add all this stuff from other legendary horror movies which just made it worse...as in "Dr Karis" (Father Karis from "The Exorcist")The notebook at Caine's house where the same line is written over and over, same thing that Nicholson's character did in "The Shining". It's almost like they are trying to compare this lame sequel to these legendary movies. It's just unbelievable and very easy to see why it went straight to DVD.

I was really disappointed with this. Couldn't wait for it to end. I didn't see the first one but I usually give sequels a better chance if I don't have the original to compare it to. This one sucks on its own. Nathan Filion is such a wooden actor. He had one facial expression the whole time even when he smiled.

i liked WN2 but this was by no means an amazing movie unless you are only comparing it to the first one... in which case this is the best movie ever made! I tried not to be to much of a fan boy when i was watching since i love Battlestar and Firefly but i still think it was well made and well acted. sure it has it's share of plot holes and laughs where ur suppose to scream. But overall i wish it had been reversed, WN2 should have been in theaters and the first one should never have seen the light of day.

i agree. i liked this one. it was deff. better then the first!! i didn't even understand the first one. i love micheal keaton but the 2nd one keeps u in suspense. more grusome also i may add. much better story line.

This was the WORST flick I've watched in the last two years (at least) !!

For those that have not seen it yet, my advice will be very simple: STAY AWAY FROM IT AT ALL COSTS !!!

" If only I had one more chance to change my life today, then I would never let you go. "

reply

i agree!! Wow! How stupid can one movie be??? Like the time when the nurse get´s attacked in the dark by a guy with a knife... the main caracter safes her life and 1 minute later they are flirting and smiling like nothing happend, unbealivably stupid!

reply

But what if It doesn't cost me anything to watch it. What if I have---like time to kill. can I watch it then?

reply

Yeah, I also loved the first movie... this one made my head hurt a bit.

NF's great, I even have him on my friend's list on myspace... so I was about to say that it was bad on my status bar, and decided not to. Chances are he'd miss it, but if he didn't... lol.

But I just felt the beginning was too rushed, that the doc was into too much, and the plot of him being- de-polerized or something like that was just... odd. The rest of the plot was bleh too.

Like the peeps in it... didn't care for the flick though....

To be honest, and I may be the only one who thinks this, but I ahted the first one so much that I wasn't even going to watch this one. I only watched it because my sister had it on the TV. This one is actually far better than the first. The first was boring and seemed to just be someone writing down dialogue without having an outline or a real plot figured out before hand. This one actually has a plot, and something interesting to watch. The first bored me to tears. That's just my opinion though. I think most people just expect it to suck because it's a sequel and don't give it a chance.

Nah, I gave it a chance, and was actually thrilled that Nathan was in it. The guy seems cool, most of the stuff he's been in I've liked, even the overly silly movie "Slither" I found cute... not amazing film making, but it was fun.

I went into this, hoping to like it... but I thought it was just- bad. Story wise, I thought the plot was just... absurd.

I think he did a great job for what he had, I think the movie had promise, but to me the begining also seemed too rushed. Just everything piled together to make a bad flick. I think what made it worse is I thought it could have been so much better.

I'm also speechless, cause every time you think you seen the worst movie ever, another one comes along. Well white noise 2 takes the lead position, and im almost scared to think of something worse. I would have given it a 1 instead of 2, but gotta still keep that option open. Big load of *beep* movie

Couldn't disagree more. I thought this was an excellent movie. It had a lot of really good jump scenes, and plenty of story to it. Really well directed.

The first half was OK, with good camera work, good sound and visual effects, and the charming two lead characters.

The second half's degenerating into pseudo-spiritual Bible Code / Secret Signs of Lucifer / cheesy Numerology was, to be blunt, embarassingly awful.

It certainly does fit in with the theme of the time it was made -- during the second Bush administration -- whose whole doctrine was that to help anyone ever is to screw things up, so it's better to never lift a finger.

What utter nonsense.

This movie may have been mediocre, but it's hardly terrible. The fact that it references past films is usually meant as a tip of the hat, not an insult. It's not saying, "I'm better than The Shining". Incidentally, most movies are unbelievable... it's hardly a revelation that this one is as well.

reply

I thought it borrowed more from other (mostly bad) "religious" horror movies. It shouldn't have been White Noise 2. It had very little to do with EVP except in the very beginning. One noteworthy thing about the film: the scene with the grand piano and 3-4 people falling to the floor below - killing several innocent restaurant diners - was (besides horrific) incredible to watch. Also, (spoiler alert) when Abe's ghost returns to comfort Nurse Sherry, I got goosebumps. It was a nice touch to what I thought was a dog of a movie in story. Way pretentious, uninspiring and uninspired.

reply

I'm watching it right now and it's way more entertaining than the first one. It works well as a stand alone movie as opposed to a sequel. It has nothing in common with the White Noise.

Utah! Get me two.

reply

Wow! The first movie is a great little creepy movie with genuine suspense and great acting. WN 2 makes no sense at all and is a terrible movie in general. The basic premise of the devil being allowed to possess a life saved doesn't compute in any level.

Fillion is a good actor and Sackoff was okay, but the movie seriously sucked and wasn't scary in the least.

reply

I agree this movie was awful, it took me sittings pausing it every time for a few hours to watch this boredom of a movie. The 1st one was great, and I was looking forward to more of that, not this bunch of ridiculous nonsense they pulled here.
