Live Episodes Question PLEASE

How many live episodes were there. I know Live from studio 6h is live. Were there 2 different versions for east and west coast? And also was "Live Show" actually live?

reply

There were two live episodes: Live Show - S05E04, Live from Studio 6H - S06E19.

Both were broadcast live for the East and West Coast feeds, meaning there are actually four in total.

Incidentally, Jane's character from the 60s variety show parody, Dusty Springfield, was an actual singer, and that song, "You Don't Have to Say You Love Me", was very popular at the time. Elvis even did a cover of it.

Plus, Alec's character, Joey Montero, mimicked Dean Martin who also had a variety show the skit was based on. That scene had one of my favorite jokes from the series: Joey says, "Last night I slept like a baby. I woke up crying with a boob in my mouth."

The Season 6 live show may be my favorite episode of the series. From the Spaceman cigarette ads to the Amos & Andy parody with Hamm and Morgan, I've rarely laughed harder at anything in my life.

The second live episode was vastly superior to the first in my opinion.
