They borrowed the "C.A.S.H." joke from The Beverly Hillbillies

Hi -

I have just discovered "30 Rock" about 10 years after it started, and think it is great. And I loved Nathan Lane in this episode. Anyway, I will try not to "spoil" anything, but the "C.A.S.H." bit was also used in a Beverly Hillbillies episode years ago. I think it was the fall 1969 episode "Jed Buys Central Park" with Phil Silvers guest starring as a con man. I don't want to go into any detail any case anyone has not yet seen this "30 Rock" episode, but it was essentially the same joke.

I'm sure comedians, like any artist, assimilate what's around them, borrow, consciously retell jokes that were really good, or create an homage to a seminal bit of humor.
