The film is doing the film festival circuit right now. I hear it's been picked up for distribution in India. I don't know whether or not it will eventually be produced on DVD, but you can check their website at http://www.thatbeautifulsomewhere.com/.

I know its done the festival circuit, and I don't expect it to be a top 10 hit, but I'm sure it still has to be released to theatures. Films like this don't make much on dvd sales, and I heard an interview with the director that it will be released in 2007.

I checked the site, it said the film will be released in 2007. This , I think, is great news for us. I can't wait to see this film, seems really interesting.

shareOK, in the interview I saw from the "press" section, the director said that it would be released in 2007, but didn't say exactly when. But I got some good news , I found this quote from a press release by the dirctor (feb 5/07) :
Budreau says he's hoping to boost That Beautiful Somewhere, which stars Roy Dupuis as a detective in northern Ontario, prior to the film's theatrical release in April. "We're focusing on the French market since Roy is such a star in Quebec," he says
I think thats good news for all of us. Can't wait, hope it shows in my province.

Canadian DVD release is Sept 11th, 2007. Thats a lot sooner than I expected, too bad it didn't even play in the city I live in.
