I rented this movie because I truly loved Roy's work on Nikita. I havent been able to catch him in many other movies because they're either in French or hard to get.
I was pleased to see that in this movie he plays a detective who could easily be likened to a very somber Michael from Nikita.

If you are a fan of the series, you will know what Im talking about.

A big plus is a "special fetaure" on the DVD that has a 15 minute interview with Roy and he is quite animated and witty.

If you are a Michael fan, you will probably wanna see both.

I rented That Beautiful Somewhere having never heard of Roy Dupuis. I thought his performance was so compelling that I went and looked for his other work and in so doing found La Femme Nikita (which I'd never heard of, either). I went on to watch the entire addictive series, and several more of Dupuis' films in both English and French. This guy is really a wonderful actor. I wish he'd do more work in the U.S.
