Anyone Read the Book?

The film was based on the book "Loon" by A.W. Plumstead, and try as I might, I haven't been able to get a copy for myself, and I was wondering what other people thought of it, and if anyone knows of a place where I can get it. (Must brag for a moment -_^ )I'm lucky enough to attend Nipissing University, where Dr.P teaches, and he's one of my profs., but I feel odd asking him for a copy - it's been out of print for years, and it's possible that he only has one copy. Any help would be awesome!

They used to sell the book at the Highway Bookshop near Cobalt, which is just north of North Bay. Actually, the Highway Bookshop published the book. They have a website, but I don't know if the book is available there anymore. They also have a copy at the North Bay public library.

I took the book out, "Loon" while the Film was being shot because I found it interesting, as well as an interest in Dupuis. But, unfortunatly only finished first 100 pages. It never really drawed me in, and in the first 100 pages focased alot on Catherine's life. Which is OK, but I gave up because of my class's and what not.

I know the author is very satisfied with the film and had a hand in its production, I think.
