Where the heck did they film?

I am so trying to figure out if the street scenes are on a studio backlot or on location. It must be a backlot, in which case that's how TBS could have saved money! The street scenes are soooooo detailed it's crazy! All the cars and buildings and extras! It just absolutely impresses me with each viewing.
