in all the cast lists and in biographies of noel fisher, the character's name is spelled "cael." but in one episode, dahlia calls his cell, and the name flashes up "cal". they also pronounce it "cal"...is that a mistake?

no its not a mistake, it is an irish name and it is spell Cael, but pronounced like Cal

It's Irish. If he were in Ireland, it's likely it'd be pronounced "Cale".
