The wheels were coming off in the 2nd season

The concept for this series was highly original and the main characters were compelling. The production value was great and the acting was solid. I wasn't bothered by the accents of the Izzard and Driver either. I wish they would have been able to at least wrap up the 2nd season but based on where the show was going, it wasn't surprising the ratings were dropping.

The problem for me was the writers were throwing too many secondary characters and plot lines in. It was as if they were throwing things at the wall to see what stuck. The neighbor with the gay cross-dressing husband wasn't needed IMO nor was the storyline regarding the parole officer.

There was also too many new villains appearing out of nowhere. The result was alot of jumping around from one plot line to another, with short shrift being given to each one. It is too bad because the show was good and quite different from anything I have watched in quite some time.

It would be nice if Izzard would reveal what his intentions were regarding how the story would end up. Would the Rich's eventually settle in to their "buffer" life or would their cover be blown so badly they would need to run or end up in jail? I guess we will never know.
