I've loved the first few eps but I don't know if I wanna watch it all if it just ends in a big cliff hanger..

I can't lie to you. It does indeed end in a cliffhanger. Be prepared.
But the last few episodes are so good that it more than makes up for it imo.
I'm wondering if I should continue for a different reason. I'm getting close to the end of season one.
The beginning episodes were pretty good because they were light and had a nice balance of both worlds. Now it seems every episode is heavy and serious. Gone are the contrasts between the two worlds and the resulting comedy.
This season started one way and is ending as something completely different. Does the second season lighten back up any?

I assume you decided by now but the second season only gets darker and heavier. I wouldn't continue if it's comedy you're looking for and not drama.
shareThe second season was cancelled pretty apruptly because of the Writers' Strike, so it does end in a big cliff hanger. That aspect is really unfortunate because I always wondered what was going to happen and what had happened that the second season alluded to.
