So, what'd you guys think?

I don't remember anything other than cleavage. I say this show won't last long, but I was wrong in the past...

reply

Looking for to Episode 2. Nothing wrong with Cleavage, it kept me watching the show, which turned out it was pretty funny.

Who walks around like that in real life?? It just annoys me when shows are cheap and instead of working harder to have a funnier show, they just throw in sex appeal.

Other than that, it was pretty corny. The main guy wasn't much of an actor, and the end was stupid. So he gets punched in the eye and sleeps with his boss? What? Wouldn't he be unconscious? Or is this promoting date rape? I'm pulling these from a hat because it made no sense.

Plenty of women walk around like that in real life. It might not be the norm, but it's not particularly uncommon.

And why would he be unconscious from a single punch to the face from a woman? Look at the kind of hits even amateur boxers get from well-muscled men. A black eye does not a concussion make.

reply

I'm not impressed.

reply

I thought the show was great and really funny.

reply

same here. Thought it was great. And ill watch it every week. On DVR of course. But then again thats what I do with every show.....

the show was alright. I think it was buoyed by how horrible "Til Death" was before that. I mean after Til Death, this show seemed like comedy gold.

Also monster cleavage always helps.

reply

I can't believe I actually like this BETTER than Til Death.

reply

in contrast to Til Death I actually laughed at this show

It didn't make any sense- we see him get punched out and then waking up. I can only assume he was either too whacked to know what was going on in that time or was unconscious. It was the stupidest scene I've ever seen- he gets punched and wakes up with his boss??

I don't know what kind of whacked out world you're living in, but most women do not casually walk around with almost their entire chest popping out of a shirt.

reply

To your second point, the whacked out world you think we all live in is pretty much metropolitan America. Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Chicago, etc. Maybe you don't have experience with such people, but it is definitely not uncommon.

reply

I liked it. Thought it was funny and it had that rare quality of a show that has yet to be tampered with by the network. I reaks of low budget but it has pleanty of good laughs...Im sure we will all be sad if it becomes a hit and starts being handled by the network and loose it edge...But at the same time I also want to see more...

I totally see the point/question raised by Frenchmoodle....when he wakes up in bed he doesn't realize there's someone else in bed with him....he doesn't even know WHO it is until he rolls over and looks....so are we to assume they ended up in bed because they were really drunk? If so, then why show this scene directly after he gets punched in the face....the whole "date" rape thing kinda lingers in the air....
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I realized right away that they partied on after the punch and got drunk and he woke up with someone after drunk dirty sex. She was desperate earlier, he was heartbroked, add alchohal to that, very plausible outcome.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The control freak lady and her guy, Brad: it is so overthetop as to be totally implausible....the control freak is too unsubtle...as if any guy would be with her.

I loved these two characters, if they weren't exaggerated it wouldn't be funny.

I laughed out loud a few times during this episode. Very rare for me after seeing a pilot episode.

Til death sucked imho, this show has potential.

Ok, I'm back after watching the second episode. I was actually surprised to find that it was better than the first. The characters are still not too developed (which I wish they were), but the episode did have lots of funny moments. Especially the part with the picnic backpack with the small compartment for nuts.

Til Deal on the other hand didn't catch my attention the second time around.

reply

I agree with Xter

LOL. I actually laughed many times. I like this show...

'Till Death I think Ill pass. ;)

reply

I just saw the second episode. While it wasn't laugh out loud funny, Lacke's clevage will keep me interested. If there's nothing else on, I'd watch this show. However it may be tough for "Happy Hour" to gain viewers since it's in the same slot as "My Name is Earl" and "Survivor."

reply

I have never seen either show... I tried My Name is Earl once but I started wathing it in the middle of the ep and it was in the middle of the season and I did think it was funny but I never saw another ep....

reply

I agree, Till Death hasn't thrilled me, but I'm hoping Happy Hour sticks around albiet moved to a different night. Why not stick this on Sunday? At least get it out of the same time slot as Survivor for god sake.

Maybe FOX needs a new program director or a four year old with a blue crayon.

I watched "The Ring and I" yesterday, and I liked it quite a bit. The characters could use a little more fleshing out (I really like Larry the room-mate though. "You could sell the ring and buy me a wine-fridge!" "Mazel Tav ya crazy kids") but over-all the writing was pretty good. Hopefully FOX won't turn chicken and pull out before the show gets a chance to stablize.
