'Dirt' Was Much Better Than 'Cougartown'...Do You Agree?

"Dirt" wasn't great, but it was a guilty pleasure. "Cougartown" sucks.

I've never watched Cougartown, nor do I want to (and I like Courtney Cox), but Dirt was a really goood show.

They are two completely different shows...Dirt was good, and in my opinion Cougar Town is hilarious; one of the best new shows this season.

I watch both of them, specifically for Courteney Cox, but Dirt is a show I really sunk my teeth into. It was so good, and Cougar Town is OK, at best.

Jean Grey could have lived to become a god, but it was more important to her she die... a human.

I agree. I think Dirt was quite good, but Cougartown is just a standard, silly sitcom.

Couldnt agree more!

Do guys like "the thing"?
They like it better than no thing.

I loved this show - all the actors did such a great job, and it's an interesting peek into tabloid journalism - but even if you're not interested in that aspect of the show there were some good story lines: romances (the relationship between Lucy and Holt heats up in season 2) , mysteries (the death of Lucy's father), stories based on true events (characters based on Britney Spears and many others), and lots of suspense and humor. It was cancelled because of the writers' strike, and not because of bad reviews or low fan base. I loved seeing Courtney Cox in this role - she was so good in it. She plays these more dramatic roles so much better than comedy. I didn't like her at all in Friends or Cougar town.

I miss dirt

They're totally different types of show - Dirt is meant to be serious whereas Cougar Town is a comedy. CT cracks me up, Jules' character is a lot like Monica in Friends, but in Dirt Courteney made a great transition to serious actress after Friends.

I enjoyed Dirt more, but I still watch Cougar Town. She's a great actress whether it's comedy or drama and even though I like her as a comedienne more, Dirt was definitely a guilty pleasure for me!
