People are too gullible.

The father of the big impressionist of the time - friends with the rest of them - was a BIG wealthy banker. The impressionist painter used that wealth to buy critics, to promote his crap art and to have 8 galleries full of people seeing his "revolution" of art.

These guys are awful artists, lazy and unable to get anything good on canvas.

But big money can go so far... People are too gullible with the descriptions and stories behind the paintings. The host of the documentary is selling these as something so amazing...

Every painter had to carry their easel, they all had to do things outdoors. This is not a trait of impressionists. Good artists climb mountains and do worst things to get their amazing art done. And they take 4x longer to do so, because they actually get skills. Not some blobs of paint, like a kiddo.

Don't be fooled by this *beep* Monet was big while he was still alive! A big hint of how these guys made themselves famous with dads wealth.

100 years later, and still the same vitriol - priceless. 😀

After all is said and done, a lot more will have been said than done.
