How can you consider Roberto Carlos one of the best free kick takers in the world???

I mean hes only ever scored from memory ONE brilliant free kick. 98% of the time he just blasts the ball over the bar, absolutely no accuracy.

reply

LOL. It looks like you're never saw him played for Real Madrid. Most of his goals scored by free-kicks...

reply

LOL! I used to be a big fan of his, but hes not consistent with his free kicks, all he relies on is the power of the shot. Hes ageing now, so hes not as good as he once was.

He has only scored a few goals in club and country. Isn't Beckham the first choice free kick taker in madrid???

Now, Juninho of Lyon, that man is very consistent with his kicks and he doesn't lack accuracy.

reply

Well, i think you're right. He's aging now, but he's the first choice of free kick taker in Real Madrid, because he's quite senior there...

Great... Except for the Zidane guy... U sure he's a free kicker??? I don't think so. At least Cicinho is better (In my opinion that's what I think...).

Andrea Pirlo (Italy/ AC Milan) is by far the best!

reply

I agree about Pirlo! :]

"The huge sadness of the northern plains rolled down on him."

reply

Andrea Pirlo? Yeah, yeah... He can be counted as one though, great player!

Memories are tresures nobody can steel.

reply

Yeah I'm Sure. He's The First Choice of Free-Kick Taker in French National Team. He Scored With Free-Kick in England vs France Match at Euro 2000

reply

Yeah... But I consider him second after Juninho Pernambucano. Juninho's the best!!!

Memories are tresures nobody can steel.

reply

I Agree With That.

reply

Yep...

Memories are tresures nobody can steel.

You should consider Nakamura (Japan/Celtic)Look at his free kicks against Man United in both the home and away games. The man's got a laser in his foot. Nobody notices though because, well, who outside Scotland watches Scottish football?

reply

giggs aint that good at free kicks for United, Cristiano Ronaldo is better. but our free kicks have never been the same since beckham left.

In no apparent order:

David Beckham (as much as I don't like the guy, I still think he's a good free kicker)

Bernd Schneider (Bayer Leverkusen/German International)

Frank Lampard (Chelsea FC/England)

Ronaldinho (FC Barcelona/Brazil)

Ryan Giggs (Manchester United)

Roberto Carlos (Real Madrid/Brazil)

reply

David Beckham is known for his kicks. so i will have to say him but Henry (France) was amazing this summer.
