so what exactly are the rules in this world?

the main guy gets killed, or doesnt' get killed by being shot. then he gets dragged off by zombies in the tunnel, and he still is ok. Did I mention somewhere along the line he gets bit? Near as I can tell this movie has absolutely no coherence what so ever.
