Terrible deal,would you have dealt?

On the uk programme, about a year ago, there was an old guy,who was left with 20,000 and 250,000 at the end.To have a guaranteed fall back of that amount and the jackpot is a strong position, and worthy of an considerable offer, but the banker took the piss, and offered 70,000,which he dealt with. The box was opened and unsuprising, the jackpot was in there. The old guys reason for accepting, was he didnt want to appear greedy,er hello, isnt the reason for being on the programme to get the chance of winning the jackpot, and you had the chance and blew it you fool.70 grand is a lot of cash, but i think that was a daft decision.

Yeah you're right. You could lose £50k or win a further 180k, worth the risk. I guess it does depend on each individual's circumstances. I saw that a woman had £250,000 and 1p at the end, the offer was £90k, I would've dealt in that situation, but she didn't and went back with 1p. It's only £10,000 less than the 2nd highest amount, seemed like a no brainer.
