Penhaligan?

She isn't going to be in this one?
Althought it would make sence, I just think a confirmation would be k3wl.

Ma'am, listen to the thunder.

Eh, this is going to be so boring without her. It'll be White Ghost Part Deux.

I just can't believe we've waited 10 years for a new episode and she isn't going to be in it...it won't feel quite the same without her :-(

reply

Well they were both in Harry Potter together (correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't she Harry's Mum?) and maybe they don't want to get stuck together on the same projects too often! Truly, she will be missed. It'd be like The Professionals without Gordon Jackson and, Last of the Summer Wine was never the same after the bloke in the tea cosy passed away.

We must all just hope that this is not the final cast and she is just holding out for more money!

The Code is more what you'd call "guidelines" than actual rules.

I can't help but doubt that she and Robbie Coltrane ever encountered each other while filming Harry Potter... they never had a scene together.

Of course they've brought forth juniper berries, they're juniper bushes!

Have you never heard of that abstract concept, designed to make people laugh....it's called A JOKE!!!

Although I will miss her, I am hoping that it is an excellent script in order that they will resurrect it after ten years.

I think its excellent that Haggrid shagged Harry Potters Mum in a previous life !

reply

actually, i found her a bit annoying even if she was a good actress (i'm in the minority, i know). good to hear robbie's back... can't wait for the new series!

I thought the Penhaligan/Fitz story was great. I think they should bring back her back probably as a DCI on a high profile case. Needing Fitz's help but refusing to ask for it with Fitz being well Fitz.

I agree...it would have been nice to her, or at least the odd familiar face from the original series, even if was only fleeting. It was just a bit TOO *strange* having everything so NEW (which they did make a bit of a theme with Fitz), and to have EVERYONE moved on.

Yeah, it would have been really nice to see Penhaligan again.

Or at least to know what happened to her as a person. After the whole subplot of Jimmy Beck, I'd like to have known that Penhaligan wasn't just the "victim" that Fitz often accused her of being.

But I didn't think Fitz's relationship with his wife was addressed in any interesting or constructive way either, so the ongoing character arcs were pretty much dudded this time around.
