What's in the vial?

For some reason I don't remember this part too clearly, but I think at one point Augusta drinks out of this little vial, and then her mom finds her passed out in the shower. I think that's what happened.

Anyway, what I want to know is, what was in the vial? Does anyone know, or was it just a weak plot device?

reply

Often experimental psychedelic drugs are in similar vials. Most of which can be bought off the internet since they are not a controled substance. It was more then likely something like a drug called "2c e" which is a potent psychedelic. That would explain the weird vision and her acting like she was overheating and panicing. So nope it wasnt a week plot device...it was actually kinda weird to see a place like Lifetime knowing about those kind of drugs.

reply

Wow, that is weird. Normally that would have been one of the first possibilities to come to my mind, but on Lifetime? That's just crazy!

reply

Yeah. maybe they have been doing a little bit of...expeirimenting.

i thought it was GHB or liquid acid

reply

Acid is a liquid. I haven't seen this movie since, well, probably the last time I posted on this board, but I don't remember her acting like it was GHB, and if she took THAT much acid at once, she would have been MUCH worse off. She'd just go *beep* crazy. Think she was a glass of orange juice and whatnot. :D hah. I think that, if the writers were up on their info on drugs, it's much more likely it was a research chemical than anything else.

reply

Its one of those aformentioned drugs. I thought it was PCP but if it was PCP she'd be dead =/

I feel fairly certain it was LSD

The vial wasn't big but, yes, if she had drank that amount she would have been tripping a lot more heavily for a lot longer than was "shown", but it's not unusual for films to be a little inaccurate about such things

Haha, I don't know why research chemicals would come to anybodies mind first; from what I hear, acid is quite easy to come across in North America and Canada, unlike most other parts of the world
