The current synopsis for this film is plain wrong. The detective isn't trying to "figure out" whether Komenko killed his parents, a crime which he has already been convicted of. In fact, the film begins with his release from juvenile detention. Russell Crowe's character never had a doubt and his dialogue in the film expresses this. I know it might be a spoiler to reveal his true intentions but there has to be a better way of wording it.

shareIt's not just here that it's listed wrong, though. When it comes up on the television guide with the little blurb telling what the movie is about, it lists it the same way as IMDB, so it's the people who made the film who have distributed the synopsis wrong.
shareWell, usually folks can contact both TV Guide and Tribune Media Services to get it corrected. (Tribune furnishes the descriptions for TiVo DVRs.) But whenever I contact Tribune, I usually am able to furnish a link to imdb.com for verification. In this case that won't work if imdb.com is wrong. So if someone wants to take the time and effort, I guess they could contact the producers/production company and try to get them to correct it. The problem with that is that there are five production companies involved, so the person would have to be really diligent in pursuing this.
