Does this stay close to the book plot?
I loved the book when I was a teenager, but I never even knew they'd made a movie. So for anyone else who's read the book, is this movie good?

Like you I too read it years ago and somebody told me about this movie. Very evocative of the book, rich in atmosphere. Makes me want to re-visit the book as I feel the film is better in certain respects
