It is a amazing how an image of a beautiful girl can lead men through the horrors of war. The Marine in this documentary hardly knows the girl he is fighting for. He basically only has her image and her story. Yet, that is enough for him to risk his life and fight a war in which he has to constantly employ Doublethink to not go crazy.

Only beautiful, young girls have that power. Even in death they can persuade complete strangers to face their own death to avenge her.
