No Tamon Takeiuchi,Kyoya Suda, or even Datasushi?

Watching the Silent Hill adaption was way worth my time than this movie..

Let me start by saying what WASN'T in the movie: None of the main characters from the video game,Datasushi, It wasn't called "Hanuda" but YAME ISLAND, no characters with sightjack ability, No multiple main characters only one, No elaborate puzzles or clever way to evade the shibitos, Almost no relevancy to the video game's story(no ceremonies to resurrect Datasushi).

They had shibitos but never once explained why they turned into shibitos or even called them anything at all, just described them as zombies basically that will "eat you". Hisako Yao was in the movie and the mermaid tale was added but by the end of the film you really don't know anything about her character...that's about it, it was a waste of my time..

Stick with the video game and all will be kept sacred..

Im not the one who stabbed the captain with a pickle!

Sightjack ability? Elaborate puzzles? You do know this is a film right? How can you expect a movie to work like an interactive video game?

Also, it seems your complaints are about how its not enough like the game. As a film, in and of itself, I found it to be quite entertaining and nicely done. I think its funny that the only people who diss the film are gamers who played the game. If one goes into this film not expecting to watch a video game, I think he or she would be satisfied.

Also, its pretty rare when a film adaptation of a videogame is superb. Think about it, videogames take hours to days to weeks (and for some people months) to get through, and are interactive. Its easy to see how, many aspects get "lost in translation" when they adapt it into a film.
