The Sanctity of Marriage???

If this film, as it purports, is about the sanctity of marriage it makes me wonder if it's being funded and produced by the Bush Administration, whose favorite gay-bashing theme is "the sanctity of marriage". I don't think the House of Rajshri is smart enough to make a (bigoted) political film, but it should be nice to have traditional misogyny stuffed down our throats again (hint, hint Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, etc.)

How does believing in the 'sanctity of marriage' link it with homophobia?
I might not get it, I live in the UK and I'm guessing this is something more commonly known in the USA? I searched it up on Urban Dictionary and that kind of gave me an idea of what you were talking about.

Still, back to the point, I doubt it. And why do you feel it was 'traditional misogyn[istic]'?
Actually, I did hate how Poonam's character wasn't developed. Nothing wrong with being traditional or shy. Having good values and good manners is great. But I know girls with those traits but they have a personality. They're able to hold conversations and have fun. But unfortunately we weren't shown that side of Poonam much. Kind of when she was with her sister and here and there. The great act of heroism when she saved her sister from the fire was amazing, but we wanted more!

I thought it was nice how Bhavna and Sunil's relationship was shown and Choti's character was the best.

Going to the other films, I think the characters Suman from MPK and Nisha from HAHK were waaay better than Poonam's. Suman started out shy when she arrived at Kishore's house, but gradually we see her fun-loving side when she befriends Prem. As for Nisha, she was fun, outgoing, cheerful, and actually talked!

But yeah, back to the point, any chance you could expand?
