Is it POSSIBLE to coplete in on legandary?

I have finshed on Easy, Normal and Heroic. I die in the first couple minutes on Legendary difficulty.

Also, how do you get the Mark V armor.

Yes, it's much easier if you do it Co-op.

Did you finish it? Any tips? I wanted to get the helmet that comes along with the achievement.

Yes, I did. I forget which helmet you get from that.

One thing we did a lot with Co-Op was everytime one of us died we go for cover and let the other respawn before getting back to the fight. This helped a lot. There were still some kinda hard parts, it took us a while and I don't think I could do it at all without someone helping.

I have complete the campaign Solo on Legendary four times, and some of the individual missions five or six.
General tips:
1. Utilize the Noob Combo. (plasma pistol overcharge on Brutes followed by BR, Carbine, or Magnum headshot.
2. Give Marines/Elites rockets and fuel rod guns and have them ride shotgun in your warthog. (Especially helpful on the Covenant.)
3. Weapons to stay away from: Spiker, Magnum, Assault Rifle, Shotgun.
4. Weapons to grab when possible: BR, Carbine, SR, Rocket, Fuel Rod.
5. Look up walkthroughs if you really need help. I recommend Nextgenwalkthroughs.com.

what is your logic with those "weapons to stay away from?"

Oh, I stay away from some of the weapons because they're terribly ineffective, and unless you get the jump on any Brutes, you'll be killed before you can take them out.

so is your logic that midrange weapons put you in a bad place in the thick of combat, and the shotgun doesn't do much that can't be done by melee?

Exactly. But my main problem with the AR/Spiker is that they're all around bad. Terrible recoil (AR) and terrible power (both.)

I totally did it by myself. And it takes a while. But you have to rethink battle strategies to get through parts. You can't go charging in. You have to find the AI patterns. And you can do it.
