Whereas the first three Urban Legend movies are slasher films in which the killer(s) re-enact various multiple urban legends in order to slay their victims, Ghosts of Goldfield (originally titled Urban Legends: Goldfield Murders during production) is essentially a haunted house movie based on a single urban legend. It also doesn't refer to any of the events of the previous films
