While amber and jonothan did not try to fake british accents, the side by side son and daughter american accents with their parents british accents is a little annoying.
shareI actually thought Amber was sort of trying, and failing miserably. She had the mannerisms down, and would "britishify" every fifth or sixth word. It would have been better if she hadn't tried.

I have only had the movie on as background noise and will now have to actually pay attention to the dialog to hear what the crticism of the accents is about. It's possible that what he is is an Australian who has learned an American accent trying to do a British accent without sounding Australian. Or maybe an Australian tryijng to do a British accent. Waiting for the stupid car commercial to be over.
Nope. Neither of them are trying. If either sound like they may be, it's probably just because of the dialog rhythm which is trying to be forsoothy.
