The Gryphon movie was so poor, it makes people sick. How can they waist $2 million dollars like that??? Amber Benson is a poor actress and the guy who played the prince could never act, even though they have had many shows. I say the Sci fi channel has never been worse since NBC and others got their claws into it. 85% poor!!!!!

I'm reading these comments to determine whether or not I want to rent this movie and I find it impossible to take seriously comments that contain so many spelling and grammatical errors. I believe Amber Benson can act - very well as a matter of fact. so stik dat in yer pype and smok it.

The timing and scripted dialogue for Amber weren't the best, that's being generous. Halfway in you feel like you've watched maybe 5mins of Amber and maybe you're right. There isn't much charachter development, lots of fighting and posturing, just not from Amber's character, at least halfway in. I don't see why she is miscast btw.

OK, to the post that said something like 'it gets better the more you drink', i had a pretty good buzz when this movie started. a movie had just finished on SCIFI and this one came on. i was bullsh!ttin with my roommate and the next movie came on, this one, and went on for a bit. then i noticed Amber Benson and told him to, 'shut up. i gotta watch this movie now'
it's about an hour in, i'm fairly lit, and all i can do is ask 'why, Amber!?! why? you're so much better than this!'
the movie is pretty terrible, but i'm gonna see it through. only for Amber. despite this piece of crap she is in, I still think she is beautiful and wonderful.
and on a personal note to Amber, don't try an accent. but don't feel bad. even some great actors can't act with an accent.
as i'm typing this, i just watched the 'love scene'. what a gip! there was nothing! there was more in the 'after morning' scene!

Okay, this movie was actually about as bad as the reviews state, and even though I am a devoted fan of Amber, I do have to admit that this wasn't even a good vehicle for her. However, to address the actual subject line, Amber is a very talented actress. I can't say what happened here with this movie, and she certainly wasn't awful, but this clearly was not a showcase for her talent. I will say, however, that I think that she did a LOT better than any of the other main actors in it.
