shareSarah Alexander. She was previously on the funnier, better British version of Friends called Coupling. You should check out those DVDs... Great show
shareShe is british (thus the "accent"). I'm surprised you haven't heard of her before. She starred in very funny shows such as Coupling (one of my favs), Spank the Monkey, the worst week of my life, ... And actually her work on this Teachers show is probably one of her weakest performance, in my opinion. But prolly because of the show itself.
shareyou're forgettin she's in greenwing aswell, but yeh she's a wicked comedy actress, suprised she's in this
shareSmack the Pony, not Spank the Monkey
shareI would LOVE to see the original British version of "Coupling". From what I understand, it was genius. I did, unfortunately, see a couple of episodes of the American version, and it was one of the worst shows that I have ever, and I do mean EVER, seen. I only watched it for Rena Sofer and Lindsey Price, but after two episodes, that wasn't enough to make me watch another one.
shareYou can get those original episodes on DVD or see them on BBC America. And yes, they were genius.
shareGet the DVDs!! The show is so funny and worth repeated viewings.

i think the brunette teacher played by Sarah Shahi is much hotter...
the blonde isn't bad for her age though...

Freedom Of 76: [There is nothing funny about the British. Everyone knows that]
That's false. I find British humour hilarious. Have you overlooked Monty Python, perhaps? You can like what you like, but not "everyone" agrees with you. UK shows are just as good as US. I'm getting wary of both countries trying to prove they're better.
[Is That Right,There are certainly lot`s of funny things about Americans.
I Often laugh at the lack of class, clothing, music, style, and the way of life, that really does make me laugh amongst other things .........]
No need to get pissy just because some person who obviously doesn't know much about what they're talking about is offensive. You're not just insulting the person that is disrespecting you, you're insulting those of us Americans who agree that British humour is hilarious.
And I like the actress, but i find the character Alice to be my least favorite of the show. I think they steryotype her too much to make it funnier, and it find it takes away from the character. If they just wrote her to be more realistic, i'd appreciate her more, which i would dearly love to do because the actress has talent and the character has potential.
Then again, i guess the writers don't care what has or had potential, seeing as the show is cancelled anyway.. =\

There's NO comparison. The US version was much weaker, primarily because the British version was SO densely written that attempting to cut down the remake episodes from 30 minutes to 22 minutes unraveled all the humor . . . and the episodes which were NOT remakes were poorly written to begin with.
I have all 4 seasons on DVD, and I HIGHLY recommend them. In fact, I have the second season in my DVD player right now. "The Man With Two Legs" and "7 1/2 Minutes" are probably the two funniest half-hours I've ever seen on TV.
Sarah Alexander wasalso in the first few episodes of series 2 of 'Green Wing'. If you haqven't seen Green Wing and like quirky British comedy, you should :)
