The show is FAKE, i.e., the white people are all ACTORS, and no one seems to care.
To me this kills the purpose of the show. What is sad is that RJ Cutler was involved in the show, and he produced "American High" and "30 days" and "Freshman Diaries." He knows better than to use pathetic actors for a reality show on race.

I told my sister "I'm pretty sure that's the girl on Disney's Movie Surfers, and they both have them same name. I don't think that's a coincidence." I was right about that. It says that Carmen is Rose's real mother. It is possible that Bruno and Carmen are together, but not married.

BSN: The credits say that Bruno’s a school teacher, but In doing my own research on him, I discovered that his last name isn’t Wurgel, but Marcotulli, and that he’s an actor, and that Carmen is a Hollywood casting scout.
BS: That’s interesting, because whereas we auditioned, they knew someone in casting, and that’s how they got set up for their audition.
BSN: I have no idea, but you have to wonder whether Carmen might have known the casting director for the show.
BS: She did know the casting director, and that’s how they got introduced to Black White.

I am not surprised! What white family would agree to a show that would expose the privileges that european americans still have in this country. To most whites, racism is a thing of the past and the position of people of color is normal and has nothing to do with the racist practices that still exist today. Even though they were actors, I think that the "mom and the "daughter' were pretty genuine.
