man...it is official....i must see this movie....even if it didn't look this good,i would still be hyped because miike & sho are back together at last...all we need is the return of riki takeuchi,then everything would be allllll right.

Sho Aikawa fighting with a sword? speed boat fight between him and a guy with a gun? the rad-o-meter is tingling. As sucky as Hisao Maki's stuff can be, and how deceiveful trailers can be, is sure thing i'm watching this. Heck, just for being from Miike i'll watch it anyway, good or bad, i do hope is certainly not bad, considering the cast and the director (again, too bad it's Maki's stuff)

OK, don't know about you guys, but i'm not fluent in japanese... yet. So could anyone post the direct link to the trailer, or tell me which links to click on? I can't really rely on japanese script and pictures when i don't know what the movie looks like at all.

I rented the first part of this last night (seems to be split over two movies and the first part ends on a cliffhanger).

Nice enough movie for a rental. Miike takes it a step beyond the usual yakuza video movie by making some of the characters pretty whaky and having some odd things happen every so often (not Gozu odd, just...not normal).

Throw in a bit of kinky sex, a sword fight on jet-skis and a nasty bit involving a sharp piece of metal and a guy's eye and there ya have it.

I'll get the second part tomorrow and see how it ends.

Takashi Miike has come to visit us country folk this month and is shooting a verison of Django up in the mountains near my town. A 'sukiyaki western' all Japanese cast but made in English.

you guys are all confusing Waru and taiyo no kizu to be the same movie which they aren't. they're two movies that have nothing to do with each other so stop posting trailers for a different movie.
