FINALLY....but well worth the wait

After a two year wait (been waiting for this one since it first went into production) I've FINALLY had a chance to see it the other day. Was expecting something great until I read some of the posts on this site, and then thought I'd be very disappointed. Well, all I can say is that it may not have been as "great" as I initially anticipated, but it certainly wasn't the "disappointment" that some posters on this site led me to believe it would be. I think that anyone interested in psychological / paranormal mysteries will enjoy "The Skeptic." Perhaps some were disappointed because they were expecting more of a horror film???

Actually my only complaint is that I wish they had cast Tom Arnold's role to another actor. Tom always comes across as a hyperactive adolescent...which I suppose is fine in comedies, but definitely not in a more serious film such as this one. I'm a huge Tim Daly fan so no complaints on that end - Ha! Tim's resume includes some fine dramatic work (i.e. Ambush in Waco, Convicted, The Outsider, The Fugitive...just to name a few...) and I hope that in the future he will be offered better roles. This was a "good" role, but he can compete with the best of them and deserves that chance.
