Eddie Marsan who plays the boys dad is brilliant in this this film. I had just watched him in a the lead of another British film called "The Disappearance of Alice Creed" and the contrast in his performance is incredible. Amazing actor!

Yes I have seen "pierrepoint", and I agree he is great in that too. Timothy Spall was brilliant too.
