Is Tara the girl that fell off the roof? Possible Spoilers

I got the impression that Tara was the girl in Jaron's flashback, the one that got injured from falling off the roof. However, we know from the DVD interviews that Tara's backstory is that she owes Jimmy money for her surgery (separating from a conjoined twin). It just doesn't make sense to me that both of these are possible, considering that she didn't have a conjoined twin in the flashbacks.

I got the same impression. It seemed like Jaron and Tara were friends as kids, and that her injuries were from falling off the roof. Though, that doesn't really explain how her back looked when they pulled her out of the room in the end. Conjoined twin? Huh? Guess I need to hear the commentary.

Conjoined twins are separated (if they are), when the kids are really young. There's no scene where Tara is shown as an infant.

I'd rather think that the "missing" person from her life is her innocence and youth, ruined by Jason's and Tara's dad.

Tara isn't the girl in the flashback as in the flashback Jaron tries to give the necklace to the girl but in the present he gives it to Tara, which is completely new to her.

What? We are supposed to figure that out from the scar and her comment about being half a person? That's extremely far-fetched. I thought she meant she'd given away a baby, which is far more plausible for a young girl working in the sex trade. To say she felt like half a person and that she couldn't stop thinking about her makes sense in that regard. It's not that common to have conjoined twins. And for her to have a scar while working in they industry practically locked in a cage didn't seem so odd to me. I assumed at some point she'd been beatend horribly or burned. This is a case of "when you hear hoofbeats think horses not zebras."

Do we see the other twin in the story? I'm confused about the girl who fell then the girl who was given the necklace who had the head and neck brace, if you call it that. She couldn't get the necklace on. Is she the same girl and doesn't remember it or another girl? Is she the girl show fell? I thought she had blonde hair, but the girl who fell had dark hair like the girl he saved. I really don't know who anyone is supposed to be in this film regarding these particular girls and now these conjoined twins mentioned here.

As someone mentioned conjoined twins are separated as young as possible.

My take is that the twin fell and died. That is why she feels like half a person.

However, if the surgery was long ago, I don't know why she was bleeding after he walked her into the wall when they were leaving the sex shop.
