Got to go to the screening last night (for free I might add, benefits of writing for the student press) and wasn't expecting too much, but the movie was pretty good.

The way it's filmed is nice and gritty, not too polished and franticly done, which adds to the hysteria created in it. It actually creeped me out a fair bit, but then again the American remake of The Ring scared me...

The story is good, while not wholly original, and so is the acting. Some of the dialogue is a bit iffy, but otherwise an enjoyable film...

did any of the actors stand out & what did you think of the young actors?

They all did suitably well actually, Jamie King doing a nice job despite some rather poor dialouge for her character. She had a real menace about her.

But not too good either. Found it long in the first part, when all elements of the mystery are put in place. Only for the last 10 minutes my attention was stimulated again. I would advise to jump to the end after they play their true, true, lie game. And then, play it with your friends :-D
