Its a shame but this can only be bad... Some good actors but bad... Dax Shepard, Wrote it, directed it, sung the theme tune, colored the graphic novel... has bad all over it

I was thinking Ghostbusters 2016 bad,but Jem was bad and this is coming from someone who watched the series after seeing that god awful trailer and enjoying the original series.

Judging from the trailer...it's going to be really bad. Nobody who has any affection for the original TV show is going to go see it.

From their poster: "Chip Happens"

Then you see the trailer, and realize "Chip Happens" is the level of humor throughout the entirety. Train wreck. As mentioned by earlier posters, this is going to have very low appeal to the original ChiPS fans. They're going to have to rely on teenagers that still think touching wieners gags are HIGHlarious.

Speaking for myself, a fan of original CHiPs, this has NO appeal. From the trailer, this looks like a comedy parody of the classic tv show. Where's JJ Abrams when you need him? I'm not crazy about his Star Trek movies but at least they don't come across as comedy parodies of the Star Trek franchise. I will be boycotting this movie and begging all my fellow classics CHiPs fans to do likewise.

The trailer made me laugh hard. I wasn't a fan of the original CHiPS, and most of the target audience are too young to know it. I doubt that the producers are crying into their milk that a few diehards are pissed.

The problem - the thing that gets crap like this greenlighted - is that the "21 Jump Street" thing was successful. For some values of "suckcess"

Looks as bad as one of those Friedberg-Seltzer movies (Date Movie, Epic Movie, Disaster Movie, etc)

Well, it has all the same ingredients as that sh!t-pie Hit and Run, so really fking bad would be my guess.
