Unlike a lot of people, I don't get Jump Street vibes.

Jump Street clearly poked fun of its premise. Baywatch is attempting something similar.

This may have the name of the show, the name of the characters and the setting of the California Highway Patrol. If you just look at the plot and humor, there's nothing else connecting the movie to the show. It might as well be just some generic motorcycle buddy cop comedy, but they want to capitalize on the name of the show to draw interest, which makes it a more vain adaptation of a TV show. It looks akin to Starsky and Hutch only Shepard and Pena don't have the chemistry between them that Stiller and Wilson had.
