And other relevant info :)

Thnx

If you had seen the subs with this you would have been even more confused!! Why make a film in 3 different languages without professional subtitling? The translation into English was pathetically inaccurate.

reply

Well I've just watched the DVD with all the necessary subtitles and I cannot answer a single darn one of your three questions!

Spoilers!

As I see it...

1. Kills Madsen cause a)she in love with Asian guy who was hired by Madsen's black partner (we see in the beginning) to do it, b) Madsen is an a hole who got her raped, abused her, etc.

2. Asian girl pays Hong Kong gangsters to kill Sandra cause she finds out Sandra is sleeping with her man. Or maybe Asian guy double crosses her? Never really explained.

3. Asian girl and guy need money to open club in Beijing. Asian guy hired by black guy at the start of the film to kill Madsen. Asian guy gets Sandra to kill Madsen. Asian guy tells Sandra they will hook up in China to be together. Asian girl gets other ideas. Asian guy dumps Asian girl. Sandra escapes, goes to kill Asian guy, but decides against it.

Everyone in the film fronts like tough ruthless businessmen/women but are really in debt, incompetent and corrupt.

1) Sandra Kills Miles because she needs to be freed from the stigmata their relationship has brought upon her, but finds out her killing him only complicates the situation. She is, after all, still obsessed with him (Maybe even in love) after their very troublesome past, and him being still alive means a very real opportunity of them getting back together somewhere in the future. So the payment is almost circumstancial, really. It is presented as an opportunity she takes advantage of.

2) It is very likely that the attempts of her killing come from Lester, since he is the one who set everything up for her arrival at Hong Kong. It is possible it is done out of greed, for her dead would mean more money for him, or maybe out of fear, since her emotional instability would at some time be a risk for their operation. It couls also be, as said before, that Sue does this to get revenge.

3) At one point or another, the couple had been close with Sandra as friends but after time went on Sandra had had an affair with Lester and was carrying on drug bussiness behind their backs. When things came to the point in which Lester was paid to kill Miles, he used Sandra since he knew she would have it so much easier.

That is what I think anyway, if anyone has other way of seeing it, I'd love to hear about it.

none.

Okay, I think in the very beginning when Madsen tells his partner to "Buy me out 100%" that meant he wanted his partner to hire someone to kill him. Seeing how his wife left him and his career was in the toilet (Madsen's CHARACTER that is) it makes sense that he would want to die. That's why the Asian dude meets up with Madsen's partner at the end, because the partner hired him to kill Madsen and he in turn hired Asia to kill him so they couldn't trace her back to the partner.

My question is WHY THE HECK THIS WAS CALLED "BOARDING GATE"? Sure, Asia runs past a boarding gate at the airport, but it lasted all of two damn seconds!

PS: This movie sucked donkey nuts.

Here's my take on this very confusing plot:

1. Asia kills Miles because her lover, Lester, convinces her to do it since she can get close to him easily and without suspicion. She almost backs out, but Miles locks her in the apartment and abuses her yet again.

2. The henchmen kill Lisa thinking that she was Sandra. Lester's friend, Kay (?), shows up to pick up Sandra, but by that time Sandra has killed two henchman and escaped (very unrealistic scenario, but that's another subject). The henchmen acted on their own without authorization from Sue or Lester.

3. Sue is Lester's wife. She runs the organization and Lester is an operative in Paris. It becomes apparent that Lester is going to leave Sue in favor of Sandra and has made arrangements to meet Sandra in Shanghai after the police stop looking for Sandra. Sandra doesn't know this so she thinks Lester has doublecrossed her. She stalks him with a knife, but she decides against it at the last minute. I don't know what she did after that because the movie ended there.

Oh wow, so he really was going to be with her! Thanks for explaining that. So why was Sandra not killed after she was drugged? Because as you savy the henchmen were not doing what's Lester and his wife actually wanted?
