Subtitles needed for the Kids conversations?

Whilst, in this excellent series, I can clearly understand the Adults dialogue, I often struggle to hear what the schoolkids are actually saying to each other in conversation - both the boys and the girls. Is it just me? (I am English by the way and fairly used to scouse-north west dialect.)

Funny, I'm a yank and I don't recall ever really having a problem other then the kids just mumbling too much.

Yes, it was the fact that the kids were mumbling that made it hard to work out what they were actually saying. Shame, as such a witty script overall.

I can see the point that your making.

However, quite a lot of teenagers are incomprehensible these days, so maybe it was deliberate?

I'm from Scotland and didn't have a problem understanding what they were saying except the odd mumble.
