The one John had living with him. I saw her look through his things and find his wife's old stuff and get scared. Did she run off or did John kill her too???

I know, I was wanting to find out as well. I didn't quite get the whole prostitute part of the movie. Did she move in with him, or did he give her the rental house to live in? Plus, she just started asking him questions right off the bat. That was weird. The film sucked through that part, and it was also really drawn out. I think they should've added more dramatic elements to the story for television. It just fell flat.
The film was maddening on this part! She just vanished from the film. I wondered if John had killed her, because in the following scenes we see him calling the daughter and saying "I"ve been a bad boy!"

It unfortunately hints that this might be the blonde young woman in the film (not necessarily a prostitute; this may have been made up for the film?) might have been murdered.
