Is this kind of like a disaster movie in any sense of the word? I love disaster movies and I like the cast of this movie. I haven't read the book, but I was just wondering if this movie resembled a disaster movie at all. Thanks.
shareIts not exactly a disaster movie - more of a terrorism/conspiracy story. The virus (codenamed The Hades Factor) is presumably a part of biological terrorism plot. I've only seen episode one of the four, but its pretty interesting so far.
Though, I have to say that I'd actually recommend NOT reading the book first since the miniseries bear absolutely no resemblance to the novel. I've read Ludlum's book and you can't help but compare the events in the book to the screenplay (which looks at present like a mangled version of the story, but it could work itself out later).

agreed, it is mangled. I had a hard time trying to figure out what why they changed everything. The book seemed to be more interesting. But that is the way they do things for TV. I didn't mind film so much, but it certainly didn't lend itself to ease of watching. I thought the performances were good, especially since some of the dialogue was rather absurd.
