Maisser scandal covered up?

The ending seemed to leave too many loose ends. Addison escapes. We don't really know if the Maisser guy was dead or not. I suppose the top Maisser exec was apart of the Scimitar program? And I suppose the pharamaceutical company's complicity in the terrorism is all being covered up since they did say Scimitar was being kept secret.

Since I'm on the subject, the Maisser exec who Addison shoots acted incredibly unrealisticly by calling security to have Addison removed. I mean why would he do that to a guy who has enough information to send him to prison for life or even death row for all the murders of innocent people via their terrorism plot.
