Who called?

Is it just me that wonders about the call Toola got, who was it? It couldn't have been Shunack since he told her he lost his "Raban", so who else was able to call her in that world. Besides.. with such an advanced technology, don't they have call-id?

It has been a while since I have seen it. But I believe it could of been a program left by her father to call her, so to bring her to the mountain.

Just saw it, it wasn't explained. I loved this movie but it really needed another thirty minutes, I imagine it would've gotten it if it had a bigger budget, must've been costly as it is.

At first I thought it was the other guy calling her, but obviously no. Than I thought it was some kind of default automated program trying to reach her from beyond the grave as it were. You're left up to your own imagination as it's never explained and, therefore, apparently had nothing important to do with the rest of the story.

Completely agree, needed another 30 minutes or so to flesh out all the unexplained chunks (who called? Who're the druids? What's the twin-plant-forest-sprite girl story?). I didn't feel like I got enveloped in the story, there was just too much background missing.

Beautiful artwork though!

I heard that there was supposed to be a sequel, has anyone else heard of it?
