My issue is not with the makeup.
My issue is the fact that the script is apparently totally false. Nina's daughter even confirmed this.

This is an entirely random and superficial look at a musical talent, directed to an audience that has no interest in music. It is the "Mommie Dearest" of musical biopics, and as such, I found it to be a marginally entertaining bad movie. 5/10 stars from me.
