I said this on another thread but since this is the same subject I have the same opinion. I disagree. First off, no one said this movie is "the best thing" his name is stamped on. And second, he's a business man. The movie grossed over 90 million. There is no movie out there everyone is going to love. But I've heard of plenty who liked this movie. I thought it was pretty good. There have been some pretty bad family movies out there but I don't think this is one of them. From a Disney standpoint, if he had a problem with anything that's created today, I think he'd have more of a problem with the classics being sequeled straight to dvd like Cinderella 2 and 3 and Lady and the Tramp 2.

Yeah the Game Plan is not the best movie ever made by Disney but I think it is awesome. The story line is cute and not completely predictable. The whole incident with the mom totally shocked me. And Kickinback73 is right, it didn't come straight to DVD release.
Plus what is so horrible about this movie? I honestly enjoyed it :)

Pal, Disney has done far worse movies than this. At least this was somewhat decent....cannot be said for all of Disney's films. Heck--you want crap done by Disney, then just look at all the direct to video sequels to the "classic Disney movies" they keep churning out every year...I think they are up to Lion King 8 or so by now, and let's not forget ANYTHING that is anime or stuff like Pretty Woman...and yes, that IS a Disney movie.

Anastascia... i hope you do realise that Walt Disney isn't in a Chroyogenic Freezer. If not then guess you learnt something. kickinback73 makes many good points as well. kickinback73 makes alot of sense unless your like *assumes* 4 yrs old or so then you wouldn't understand anything. Or this type of movie doesn't suit you it is one of the best if not THE best disney movie that has been released in awhile. Hopefully Disney still has more punch in them to make another great one.

Anastascia... i guess your just not a big Disney fan or else you would have noticed this has been a long awaited movie (not plot wise but enjoyable for all age groups) for many fans that are teens/adults now.

Um, and what exactly is your taste in movies? I'm sure Walt would actually be pretty pleased with this since his main focus was family films and cartoons. Plus Disney's never really been known for their live action movies. They're famous because of their cartoons and I agree that he would be more disappointed in how they're milking the crap out of Cinderella and The Little Mermaid with sequels.

I'm assuming you just don't like these types of films, and if not, why would you even watch it? This movie really was better than so much of the stuff Hollywood has been churning out lately, even stuff not in this genre. And for a family film it was really cute and affective. I'm sure most of the kids who saw this liked it and that's the important part, and I believe that is what Walt cared about. On the other post people pointed out how movies like Freaky Friday and The Parent Trap were made when he was alive, and this would fit right in there. And it wasn't even as bad as so many other films because it didn't have a billion cliches or a ton of sight gags. There was one fart joke (and yea it was annoying, but it was Kyra Sedgewick doing it, so it was levels above how it is in other movies of this genre). I think those people who constantly criticize every family film that comes out need to get over it and do something else or just watch the movies they like. And yes, it had the cliche ending, but it's to be expected with this type of film. The moral of it was really sweet and came across well.

And I'll add I watched the trailer and thought it was gonna be another stupid flick, but it wasn't. It was a lot better than most of the other family films out there and did not seem to try and dumb things down for kids and handled everything well.

I'm not heated at all. It cracks me up when someone has a different opinion on something and when there's a reply back it's like they're heated or pissed off. You need to get over yourself if you think you have that much of an affect...lol It's typical to say "I bet you can't ignore me" to help justify your thought that you're a bother. superbad is exactly that, SUPER BAD! all these remakes of 80s teen comedies are getting old! take out all he overused profanity and its basically 16 candles meets weird science! that movie is garbage and so is the LAME PLAN. face it, everything has been done before and its getting harder for writers and producers to come up with good original ideas. and rogen is one of the most overrated writers/actors right now and apatow is going downhill.

i think disney would be pissed about how his company is being run, but i also think that its a different world aswell. i dont think disney would like the world today. each new generation is a little more lazy, ignorant, desensetized, and UNIMAGINATIVE. people dont even like films that make you think as much anymore. every movie has to have a coherent easy to undertand conclusion to be satisfying! man kids were foaming at the mouth for the indie films in the 80s... now kids laugh at the the last indie film! they just dont get it and they dont care.
