Can't read interviewee descriptions

Why are the interviewee's details, which are listed right below their name and usually their job title, SO tiny in this movie? I've had to pause every time and go up to the TV in order to read these talking heads' credentials. I wear contacts, but my girlfriend has great vision and neither of us have been able to make out what was written from more than 2 feet away.

Though it's possible it has something to do with my TV or DVD player, I highly doubt it as I've never had this problem before and I watch a LOT of documentaries.
